A Night of Horror: Man Allegedly Stabs Estranged Girlfriend 20 Times

A chilling incident in the Shadow Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles has left a 35-year-old special effects producer in critical condition after she was allegedly stabbed more than 20 times by her estranged boyfriend.

A Brutal Attack

At around 4:30 a.m. on May 23, Nick Pasqual, 34, is accused of breaking into the home of Allie Shehorn, a makeup artist and special effects producer known for her work in films like “Rebel Moon,” “Mean Girls,” and “Babylon.” Despite a recent restraining order against him, Pasqual allegedly entered Shehorn’s home and unleashed a violent attack.

According to witnesses, Shehorn’s wounds were horrific, with multiple slashes across her neck, deep cuts down her arms, and a severe abdominal injury. She was discovered by her surrogate mother, who was staying with her at the time.

“She was a bloody mess,” a friend of Shehorn told LA News Center. “I’ve never seen anything so horrific.”

A Fight for Survival

Shehorn has undergone multiple surgeries to stop the bleeding and repair the extensive damage to her tendons. She remains hospitalized as doctors continue to monitor her progress.

Escaping Justice

After the heinous attack, Pasqual fled to Texas, where he was apprehended at the United States-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca. An arrest warrant with a bail of over million was issued, but as of now, an arraignment date has yet to be set.

District Attorney George Gascón expressed his sympathies for the victim and condemned the violence.

“This incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence,” Gascón said. “This egregious act is an outrageous violation of the victim’s safety and well-being.”

Facing Consequences

Nick Pasqual faces a life sentence if convicted of the charges. The judicial system will hold him accountable for his heinous crime and provide support to Allie Shehorn as she embarks on the long and arduous path to recovery.

The LA News Center stands in solidarity with victims of domestic violence and calls for continued efforts to protect survivors and prevent future tragedies.
