The Rock and Roman Reigns Prove the WWE Mountaintop Belongs to The Bloodline

On the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania 40’s Saturday night opener, Roman Reigns and The Rock, locked horns with the formidable duo of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The stakes were monumental: victory for Reigns and The Rock would secure the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship match under Bloodline Rules, while defeat would set it free from the Bloodline’s clutches.

The match commenced with a star-studded showdown, as reigns and Rollins collided in a gripping battle of wills. Rhodes and The Rock joined the fray, and the tension escalated with each passing moment. The crowd erupted as The Rock, a legend returning to the ring after eight long years, squared off against Rollins in an explosive tête-à-tête.

Rhodes and Rollins initially gained the upper hand, teaming up to keep Reigns and The Rock at bay. However, The Rock’s charisma shone through as he hit Rollins with a thunderous clothesline, igniting the cheers of the roaring crowd. Rhodes and The Rock went toe-to-toe, showcasing their incredible athleticism and unmatched skill.

The brawl spilled into the stands, with The Rock threatening to fire the referee if they dared to count them out. Meanwhile, Rhodes focused on Reigns, while Rollins laid siege to The Rock. But it was when Reigns emerged to take down Rollins’ injured knee that the tide of the match truly shifted.

The Bloodline members relentlessly targeted Rollins’ knee, exploiting his weakness with brutal efficiency. Rhodes attempted to rally, but a Superman Punch from Reigns halted his momentum. The Rock continued the assault on Rollins’ knee, seemingly putting “The Visionary” out of commission.

Rollins managed a desperate enziguri, but Reigns prevented him from tagging out. Just as Rollins seemed close to a breakthrough, Reigns felled Rhodes, knocking him off the apron. The Rock applied the sharpshooter to Rollins, but Rhodes intervened with a slap, allowing Rollins to hit The Stomp.

As the battle lines were drawn, Reigns regained control with a Superman Punch, busting himself open in the process. A missed spear attempt gave Rollins an opening, but Reigns valiantly kicked out of a pinfall. Rhodes joined Rollins in a flurry of superkicks, seemingly putting Reigns on the ropes. However, when Rhodes attempted the Cross Rhodes, The Rock pulled the referee out, asserting his dominance.

The Bloodline took advantage of the chaos, with Reigns spearing Rhodes, who defied the odds and kicked out of the pin. The Rock prepared for the People’s Elbow, but Rhodes countered with a Cody Cutter. As Rhodes attempted the Cross Rhodes, Reigns struck with another Superman Punch, saving The Rock.

With Rhodes seemingly helpless, Reigns set up a spear. However, Rollins selflessly pushed Rhodes out of the way, becoming the victim of Reigns’ wrath instead. Rhodes and Rollins executed synchronized Pedigrees on their opponents, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

As the match reached its climax, Rhodes hit the Rock Bottom on Rhodes through the announce table. Reigns retaliated with a spear on Rollins through the barricade. The battle continued, with each superstar showing their unwavering determination.

Rhodes hit two Cross Rhodes moves on Reigns, but The Rock interrupted with a devastating weight belt strike. Reigns finished off Rhodes with a spear, setting the stage for The Rock to deliver the Rock Bottom and People’s Elbow. The crowd erupted as The Rock pinned Rhodes, securing the victory for The Bloodline.
