During Easter Sunday brunch at Roasted Salemtown in Nashville, a gunman opened fire, leaving one person dead and four others injured.

The Suspect

Police have identified the suspect as Anton Rucker, 46. He has been charged with homicide and is actively being sought by authorities.

The Incident

Around 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday, Rucker entered the coffee shop and opened fire. Five people were struck, including one man who later died.

According to police, they believe the victim who was fatally shot was the person with whom Rucker had an issue.

The Investigation

Detectives are actively investigating the motive behind the shooting. They do not believe it was a shootout or that the individuals involved knew each other.

Police have released surveillance photos of Rucker and believe he left the scene in a Mercedes GLS 450.

The Coffee Shop

Roasted Salemtown has a clean history and has not experienced any significant incidents in the past. Police describe this shooting as an isolated event.

Additional Injuries

In addition to the five shooting victims, another person sustained a scratch, and a pregnant woman was treated for a panic attack at a hospital.

Ongoing Investigation

The Metro Nashville Police Department’s homicide team is spearheading the investigation. They are actively pursuing leads and canvasing the area for more information.
