According to Virginia State Police, a Ford Fusion swerved into oncoming traffic on U.S. Highway 15, leading to a chain reaction of collisions. The Fusion struck a transit van traveling northbound, then continued its reckless journey, colliding head-on with a Nissan Versa. The Versa subsequently veered off the road and overturned.

Devastation on the Road

The impact of this multi-vehicle crash proved fatal for four individuals. Erika M. Henshaw, 77, and her passenger Alvin P. Henshaw, 85, perished at the scene in the Fusion. Similarly, Runping Z. Rhett, 66, and Eric D. Truscott, 37, the occupants of the Versa, also succumbed to their injuries. Miraculously, the driver of the transit van emerged from the wreckage unharmed.

Investigation Underway
