Tragic Stabbing Claims Life

In a tragic turn of events, a confrontation between roommates has escalated into a fatal incident in Santa Ana. On Sunday morning, police responded to an emergency call at approximately 8:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of S. Lowell Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old William Stephen Nared suffering from a severe stab wound to his chest. Paramedics from the Orange County Fire Authority attempted to save him, but unfortunately, Nared succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrest Made in Roommate’s Death

The investigation swiftly led authorities to the suspect, 25-year-old David James Espinosa. He had fled the apartment on a bicycle after the altercation but was located a short distance away and apprehended. Espinoza and Nared lived in the same unit, and the incident unfolded during an argument between the two roommates. The argument escalated into a physical confrontation, and the stabbing occurred.

Espinosa Charged with Murder

Espinosa has been taken into custody and charged with murder. He is currently being held in custody, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. The Santa Ana Police Department has not released any additional details about the case.
