The City of Venice has confirmed that four men embarked on a boating trip around 8 a.m. on Saturday but failed to return as planned. Concerned for their safety, law enforcement agencies have launched an extensive search operation.
The Missing Men:
- Ruben Mora Sr., 54, from Port Charlotte
- Angel Hernandez Munoz, 38, from North Port
- Julio Cesar Cordeo Briones, 37, from North Port
- Vargas Parra, 35, from North Port
Unrelenting Search Efforts
The Venice Police Department’s Marine Patrol, along with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the U.S. Coast Guard, Sarasota Police, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, are actively involved in the search operation. The search area spans from Stump Pass to Longboat Pass.

The group was traveling in a 1995 23-foot white SportCraft with the registration number FL9937HC.
