Unprovoked Attack at Universal City Station
The latest tragedy unfolded early on Monday morning, around 5 a.m., at the Universal City B Line Station. As the victim exited the station, located near the bustling Universal Studios, she was viciously stabbed in a seemingly random and unprovoked attack.
The attacker, as captured in surveillance footage, quickly fled the scene. However, thanks to the keen eyes of witnesses who observed his unique clothing and mannerisms, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) swiftly apprehended the suspect near Ventura Boulevard and Vineland Avenue.
Based on preliminary investigations, authorities believe that the suspect and the victim were complete strangers.

According to Detective Meghan Aguilar, who spoke to KTLA 5’s Rachel Menitoff, “This does appear to be completely unprovoked from what witnesses have told detectives. There was no altercation prior to this violent attack.”
