In a chilling turn of events, residents of Sunland woke up to the gruesome discovery of a deceased woman’s body inside a trash can on Tuesday morning.

At around 10:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to Wentworth Street after receiving distress calls about an unusual odor. To their shock, officers encountered a decomposing body concealed in a bag and stuffed into a trash can with the lid tightly sealed.
The identity of the victim, a woman believed to be in her 30s, remains a mystery. LAPD confirmed her gender but has withheld her name pending official identification.
Perplexing Circumstances
An eerie element to the discovery is that the trash can holding the body was foreign to the neighborhood. It appeared to have been placed strategically at the curb as if awaiting regular trash collection.
