Pop icon Britney Spears has shed light on a recent incident at her hotel room in West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, where paramedics were called and left without transporting her to the hospital.
Ouch! The Swollen Ankle
Britney shared a video on Instagram showcasing her severely swollen right ankle. She revealed that she suffered the injury during a misstep in her hotel room.
“It’s so bad,” she lamented. “I tried to do a leap in the living room and fell.”
Britney explained that her ankle was causing her discomfort and she sought assistance from paramedics solely for ice.
The Paramedic Visit Saga
In an earlier Instagram post, Britney claimed that paramedics “entered her room” against her will and “caused a huge scene.” However, she later clarified that they had not actually entered her room.
“They ever entered my room, but I felt completely harassed.” Britney stated.
According to TMZ, hotel employees expressed concern over Britney’s well-being and contacted paramedics.
The Fire Department’s Response
Brian Humphrey, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, told LA News Center that they received a medical aid request at 12:42 a.m. regarding an injured adult female.
Humphrey explained that it was uncertain whether paramedics made contact with the injured individual. However, they departed at 1:17 a.m. without transporting anyone to the hospital.
“There was no law enforcement response to this incident,” emphasized Humphrey.
Britney remains in good spirits despite the ankle injury, expressing, “It’s pretty bad, but stuff happens!” She shared a lighthearted laugh before signing off on her Instagram post.
