The Gerber Baby, a symbol of pure innocence and childhood, has been captivating hearts since 1928. What began as an anonymous baby face for Gerber’s baby food campaign evolved into an official trademark in 1931. The identity of the original Gerber Baby remained a mystery until 1978 when it was revealed to be Ann Turner Cook, a mystery novelist and retired teacher who passed away in 2022 at the age of 95.
The Spokesbaby Tradition
Inspired by the countless photos of babies resembling the iconic Gerber logo, Gerber launched its yearly Photo Search in 2011. The first “spokesbaby,” Mercy from Ohio, marked the start of a tradition that has celebrated the diversity and cuteness of babies from all walks of life.
A Grand Prize Package Fit for a Star
The winner of the 2024 Gerber Photo Search will be crowned the “Chief Growing Officer” and take home an impressive grand prize package. This includes a whopping ,000 cash award, a designer wardrobe from Gerber Childrenswear, a year’s supply of Gerber products, and memorable goodies from Canon, Little Tikes, Motherhood Maternity, and more.

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines
Parents or legal guardians can submit a photo of their baby between 0 and 48 months old until May 24 via www.photosearch.gerber.com. Make sure the photo captures your baby’s adorable personality and radiant smile.
