Despite reaching back-to-back NFC title games and a Super Bowl appearance in his short career, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has faced criticism, particularly regarding his “game-manager” label.

Purdy Unfazed by Criticism

“I don’t lose sleep over it,” Purdy told “The Pat McAfee Show.” “All I care about is the respect I have in the locker room, with the coaches, and within the organization.”

Purdy believes that his performances on the field speak louder than any opinions or emotions expressed in the media.

Addressing the “Game-Manager” Critique

Acknowledging the notion that he has exceptional talent around him, Purdy emphasizes that it doesn’t diminish the importance of his role.

“As long as we’re winning games, it doesn’t matter,” he said. “I still have to make the throws and lead this team.”

Last season, Purdy led the 49ers with 4,280 passing yards and 31 touchdowns, boasting an impressive 9.6 yards per attempt.

Purdy’s Determination

Under head coach Kyle Shanahan’s mentorship, Purdy aims to continue his success next season.

“I’m eager to prove myself even more,” Purdy stated. “I know there will always be critics, but my focus is on improving and helping this team win.”

With his confidence and determination, Purdy is poised to silence his critics and establish himself as a formidable force in the NFL.
