Deadly Connections: Carjacking, Homicide, and a Deputy’s Arrest Uncover Sinister Plot

1

In a chilling turn of events, a deadly carjacking, the murder of a tow truck driver, and the arrest of a law enforcement officer have become interconnected in a complex and disturbing case that has left the Seminole County, Florida, community reeling.

Deadly Carjacking and Homicide

On April 14th, Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas was brutally carjacked in Winter Springs. Witnesses recorded footage of the terrifying incident, showing armed men forcibly taking her vehicle.

Days later, the burned wreckage of her Dodge Durango was discovered in Osceola County, with a body inside that is believed to be that of the missing Aguasvivas.

The Murdered Tow Truck Driver

The investigation took a tragic turn when Juan Luis Cintron Garcia, a tow truck driver, was shot and killed in Taft on April 9th, just one day before Aguasvivas’ abduction.

Investigators have linked the vehicle used to commit Garcia’s murder to the green Acura seen in the Aguasvivas carjacking. Moreover, unique 10mm rounds found at both crime scenes suggest a possible connection.

Deputy’s Involvement

In a surprising twist, LA News Center learned that Seminole County Sheriff’s Deputy Francisco Alberto Estrella Chicon, 33, was arrested on Sunday after allegedly using law enforcement resources to relay sensitive case information to Aguasvivas’ family members.

According to Sheriff Dennis Lemma, Chicon is a husband of a childhood friend of Aguasvivas’ relatives and reportedly used a false name and claimed to be a detective to obtain the information.

Unanswered Questions and Suspects at Large

The investigation remains ongoing, and the suspects responsible for the carjacking, murder, and deputy’s misconduct are still at large.

Sheriff Lemma has expressed concern that Aguasvivas’ husband may be withholding information, while authorities continue to piece together the puzzle of this complex case.

Community and Law Enforcement Response

The gruesome nature of the crimes has shaken the Seminole County community, leaving residents concerned for their safety. Sheriff Lemma urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the apprehension of the suspects.

LA News Center has reached out to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the deputy’s misconduct, for further comment.
