From Deadly Driver to Anti-Israel Agitator: Harvard Student Sparking Outrage

The Collision: A Tragic Loss

In 2020, a wealthy teenager named Isabel Jennifer Seward allegedly drove her vehicle over double yellow lines, striking Chet and Connie Hawkins, a beloved couple in their early 70s. Despite police reports indicating she made no effort to avoid the collision, Seward received a mere 0 fine and avoided any criminal charges.

A Trail of Enragement

Years later, Seward, now 20, has emerged as a participant in anti-Israel protests on Columbia University’s campus. This has ignited fury in the victims’ family, especially their 49-year-old niece, Eve Taylor.

“She has no remorse, she received no punishment,” Taylor lamented. “She’s prancing around Columbia with her Ivy League privilege, promoting murder, with no understanding of what she’s promoting.”

Law Enforcement and Privilege

Taylor has accused Seward’s father, UPS executive Bill Seward, of using his wealth to shield his daughter from criminal consequences. Vermont State Police have declined to comment on the 2020 investigation, referring all inquiries to the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The state’s attorney, Sarah George, has also remained silent on the matter. However, she is currently facing criticism for her “personal ideology” in an unrelated petition calling for her resignation.

Conflict between Law Enforcement and Prosecutor

The case has exposed a dispute between law enforcement and the progressive prosecutor’s office. A local newspaper revealed that state police had initially redacted Seward’s name from public records, but later disclosed it in a press release.

In an email obtained by the paper, George expressed frustration, questioning why police did not consult their legal counsel before releasing Seward’s identity.

Columbia Protests and the Involvement of a Prominent Figure

The anti-Israel protests at Columbia have expanded to include Isra Hirsi, the daughter of “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. These protests have intensified tensions and raised concerns for Jewish students on campus. A campus rabbi has urged Jewish students to leave the university due to safety concerns.
