The incident unfolded on Thursday around 6:30 p.m. along Snelling Avenue. According to the Minnesota Highway Patrol, a Honda SUV veered off the road and slammed into a light pole, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
Witnesses heard frantic screams coming from the burning wreck. One of the witnesses, Kadir Tolla, described the scene as “scary” and said, “He was awake. He was saying pull me out, pull me out, pull me out.”

Tolla and several other good Samaritans rushed towards the burning car, their hearts pounding with a mix of fear and determination. However, their attempts to open the doors were thwarted by the guardrail, which blocked access due to the impact.
