Heartbreaking Tragedy: Texas Father Loses Son and Accuses Judicial System of Bias

On a tragic afternoon, a 3-year-old boy, Kaiden Kriger, was mercilessly shot and killed in a murder-suicide carried out by his mother, Savannah Kriger, at San Antonio’s Tom Slick Park on March 19. Distraught, the boy’s father, Brian Kriger, has spoken out against the family court system, alleging bias against fathers.

Just hours before their bodies were discovered, Savannah sent a chilling text to her husband: “Say goodbye to your son,” leaving Brian shattered upon reading it. Phone records indicated that Savannah had previously sent a wire transfer of all their joint account funds.

About two hours before the tragic incident, Savannah reportedly vandalized Brian’s home while he was unaware at work, according to GPS records released by the authorities. Soon after, phone tracking revealed that she picked up Kaiden from daycare before contacting Brian via FaceTime.

During the call, Savannah made disturbing accusations against Brian, including that he had left them for a woman he met online. She also demanded that Brian apologize to Kaiden for being absent in his life.

Brian immediately called the police and rushed home to find his belongings destroyed. Officers arrived and noticed wedding dresses and portraits adorned with bullet holes on the bed, indicating potential intent. Shell casings recovered from the scene matched those found near the bodies in the park.

Despite Brian’s urgent plea for authorities to take action, he alleges that officers only performed a welfare check on Savannah’s residence, despite knowing that she had possession of their son. He believes that his son’s life could have been saved if more immediate action had been taken.

An Amber Alert was issued the following morning. However, based on phone records, authorities determined that the mother and child were already deceased. Heartbreakingly, a 21-second video retrieved from Savannah’s phone captured her and Kaiden in the drainage ditch, her last moments with her child.

Investigators located Savannah’s abandoned vehicle in the park but did not discover their bodies until later that day. The Bexar County Medical Examiner has since ruled the child’s death a homicide.

Brian, devastated by the loss of his son, has expressed his belief that Savannah was deeply troubled and had hidden mental health issues. He alleges a pattern of false accusations and police reports, part of a manipulation tactic to gain custody of their son.

Brian had initially been granted a temporary restraining order against Savannah, which prohibited him from seeing Kaiden in person. However, he was allowed to communicate via phone and FaceTime. He now asserts that the justice system favors mothers and that fathers are not given due consideration.

Brian has not been charged with any crime, but he has stated that the last time he saw his son was on March 7, a chilling foreshadowing of the events to come. He believes that Savannah made false allegations of threats against her life to gain an unfair advantage in the custody dispute.

Brian has vowed to never stop fighting for the truth and justice for his son. He hopes that the tragedy will serve as a wake-up call to the judicial system to ensure that fathers are treated fairly and not subjected to bias.
