The relentless efforts of unified command salvage teams have yielded the discovery of another victim from the catastrophic Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, bringing the total number of fatalities to six.

Honoring a Lost Life

Investigators from the Maryland State Police, along with an FBI Victim Specialist and linguist, worked tirelessly to identify the victim as 37-year-old Jose Mynor Lopez of Baltimore. His family was notified of the positive identification, providing them with a sense of closure amid their immeasurable grief.

“With heavy hearts, today marks a solemn milestone in our recovery and provides some solace to the loved ones of the six workers whose lives were tragically cut short in this event,” said Colonel Roland L. Butler, Jr., Superintendent of the Maryland Department of State Police.
