Los Angeles, California – The music world is in mourning after the tragic death of rapper Chris King, also known as Christopher Cheeks, in a brazen robbery outside a Nashville music studio.

Fatal Encounter

On Saturday night, King and a 29-year-old friend were approached by a group of three individuals who appeared cordial at first. However, the situation quickly turned violent when the suspects allegedly attempted to rob them.

In the ensuing struggle, King was fatally shot, while his friend sustained gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported that the suspects fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Suspect Identified

Nashville detectives have identified 19-year-old Adrian Cameron as a suspect in King’s murder. Cameron was previously arrested in connection with the murder of 50-year-old Josh Evans in 2021 and was out on bond at the time of King’s killing.

Personal Connection

King, who was 32 at the time of his death, shared a close bond with pop star Justin Bieber. In December of last year, King revealed on Instagram that he and Bieber were roommates for over a year a decade ago.

Following the news of King’s passing, Bieber and other renowned musicians, including Morgan Wallen, paid tribute to the fallen rapper on social media, expressing their grief and sorrow.

Investigation Underway

The Nashville Police Department is actively searching for Cameron and has urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them at 615-742-7463.
