Hailing from O’Fallon, Missouri, Arslanbas embodied the Marine Corps values from a young age. He enlisted on March 26, 2020, and quickly rose through the ranks. Assigned to the Maritime Special Purpose Forces with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, he served honorably as a Reconnaissance Marine.

A Fallen Hero

Colonel Todd Mahar, commanding officer of the 24th MEU, expressed the unit’s profound grief, stating, “Words cannot convey our sorrow for the tragic loss of one of our MEU family members.” Arslanbas’s dedication was evident throughout his service, earning him esteemed decorations such as the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.
