Calling all adrenaline junkies! Mammoth Mountain, California’s beloved skiing and snowboarding haven, has soared past an impressive snowfall milestone this season. With over 300 inches of powdery white covering its slopes, the resort promises an unforgettable winter experience.

A Record-Breaking Season

The snowfall windfall has been relentless, with an astonishing 12 inches blanketing the mountain overnight. This sweet winter symphony has extended Mammoth’s ski season hingga Memorial Day, allowing skiers and snowboarders to extend their mountain adventures well into May.

Continuing Snowstorms on the Horizon

Resort officials anticipate that this is merely the beginning of a snow-laden storm cycle, with additional snowfall expected through the weekend. These fresh snow blankets will further bolster Mammoth’s already impressive snowpack.

However, while Mammoth Mountain basks in its winter wonderland, the same storm system is expected to bring rain and cooler temperatures to areas like Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire, and Orange County.

Extended Season and Record-Breaking Snow History

This ski and snowboard season at Mammoth Mountain kicked off with a bang in November, a mere 100 days after the previous season concluded. That season ended in August after the mountain received an astounding 700 inches of snowfall, breaking previous records.

Mammoth Mountain’s winter weather conditions are a testament to its exceptional snow-making capabilities. For the most up-to-date information on the resort’s snowpack and weather conditions, check out their Winter Report on their website.
