A brazen act of violence has shaken downtown Los Angeles, leaving one man clinging to life and a city on edge.

On Tuesday morning, around 6:15 a.m., a 30-year-old white man was brutally attacked near the intersection of 7th and Figueroa streets. According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the victim was stabbed and pepper sprayed.

First responders rushed the victim to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.

Suspect Description and Ongoing Investigation

Witnesses described the suspect as a Black man wearing black clothing. The LAPD is actively investigating the incident and reviewing surveillance footage and witness accounts.

Initial reports from the scene suggested that there may have been two separate stabbings. However, law enforcement officials have since confirmed that they are investigating only one.
