Badosa, known for her impressive 329 singles victories, confirmed the breakup in an Instagram Stories post, revealing:

“After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways. We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths.”

Tsitsipas’ Silence, Badosa’s Grace

While Tsitsipas refrained from making immediate comments, Badosa expressed her heartfelt sentiments:

“We are grateful for the support of our friends, family, and all who have been part of our story. As we transition into this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other nothing but the best in all our endeavors. We kindly ask for privacy during this time, and we thank you for your understanding and respect.”

Joint Instagram Account Disappears

A testament to their former bond was their joint Instagram account, where they shared glimpses of their love life while traveling between tournaments. However, the account has since been deleted, marking a symbolic end to their time together.

French Open Preparations

Despite the personal transition, both players remain focused on the upcoming French Open, commencing on May 20th. Badosa’s best performance at the Grand Slam was reaching the quarterfinals in 2021, while Tsitsipas narrowly missed the title in 2021, losing to Novak Djokovic in a thrilling final.
