Minnesota Timberwolves Triumph Over Phoenix Suns, Clinching Playoff Sweep

On a historic Sunday night in Phoenix, Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch left the Footprint Center with a souvenir he hadn’t anticipated: a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee.

Finch’s Unfortunate Incident

Finch’s injury occurred in the fourth quarter during a collision with guard Mike Conley Jr. The coach was visibly in pain as he was helped off the floor and left the arena on a cart. Conley later revealed that he hadn’t seen Finch until the last moment before trying to steady him.

“I told him to sit his butt down — he shouldn’t be standing up like that late in the game,” joked Conley. “He’s in the way. But prayers up for him, I’m sure he’ll be fine.”

Durant Praises Edwards

Durant, a long-time admirer of Edwards, couldn’t help but heap praise on his opponent after the game. “I’m impressed with Ant,” said Durant. “My favorite player to watch. He’s grown so much since he came into the league. His love for the game shows.”
