Suspect in Custody for Smashing into Mayor Bass’s Residence

In a shocking incident, a 29-year-old man named Ephraim Matthew Hunter allegedly broke into the official residence of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. when Hunter shattered a rear glass door at the Getty House in the Windsor Square neighborhood.

According to Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, Hunter sustained cuts from the broken glass, leaving a trail of bloodstains throughout the historic home. Damage to the door was estimated between ,000 to ,000.
