Away from the New England Patriots’ draft war room this season, veteran head coach, Bill Belichick, has shared his insights on the team’s highly anticipated first-round draft pick.
Appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” during the special draft night broadcast, Belichick presented a lukewarm response to the Patriots’ surprising selection of former North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye with the No. 3 overall pick on Thursday night.
Belichick’s commentary hinted at reservations about Maye’s selection, particularly in light of the quarterback’s self-comparisons to Buffalo Bills star, Josh Allen.
