A Tumultuous College Journey
Milton spent six years navigating the tumultuous waters of college football, starting his journey with the Michigan Wolverines. During his three-year stint there, injuries and underwhelming performances plagued him, with the added obstacle of the COVID-19 pandemic further hindering his progress.
Undeterred, Milton transferred to Tennessee in 2021, earning the starting role over the highly touted Hendon Hooker. However, injuries once again sidelined him, and Hooker eventually seized the starting reigns.
The 2023 season marked Milton’s only full year with the Volunteers, where he showcased his abilities, throwing for 2,813 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just five interceptions in 12 games. He also displayed his elusiveness, rushing for 299 yards and seven touchdowns on 78 attempts.
