Heartbreaking Incident

A deadly hit-and-run crash on Thursday evening in South Los Angeles has left one person dead and two more injured, one of them a young boy.

Scene Investigation

The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. near the 5200 block of South Figueroa Street in the Vermont Square neighborhood. LA Fire Department (LAFD) crews found three individuals with injuries upon arrival at the scene.

One victim, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. A man in his 20s was critically injured, while a 5-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries.

Potential Hit-and-Run

Police believe the crash may have been a hit-and-run, with witnesses reporting someone fleeing the area on foot.
