Before former President Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, his supporters expressed concern over the recent attack on Israel by Iran, urging stronger American leadership.

Alarms Raised

Ahead of Trump’s rally, LA News Center spoke with several attendees who echoed his sentiment that the attack would not have occurred under his presidency. They voiced their belief that President Biden is perceived as weak on the world stage, leading to increased belligerence from adversaries.

Sherry Royer, one such supporter, declared, “I’m worried about weak leadership because people look to America for guidance. I worry that we’re wavering, not showing strong leadership internationally.” She emphasized the importance of a President who inspires fear and follows through on threats.

Another supporter, Angelic Schneider, lamented, “We need leadership in our country, and we don’t have it. The United States has become a laughingstock and we need to restore our strength.” She praised Trump’s resolute actions, which she believes brought respect and security to the nation.

Biden’s Response

When asked about the potential for an imminent attack on Israel following Iran’s actions in Syria, President Biden stated, “We are devoted to defending Israel. We will support them.” However, when pressed for his message to Tehran, he simply uttered “Don’t,” refusing to elaborate.

Supporters’ Reaction

Trump supporters took issue with Biden’s curt response, characterizing it as weak and ineffective. Barbara Gonzalez Rosati exclaimed, “How shocking. It just shows how weak he is.”

Sandro Rosati added, “This is proof that the world doesn’t respect us, our country, or President Biden. If Donald Trump were in office, these events with Hamas, Russia, and China would never have happened.”

Leadership Gap

Throughout the rally, supporters reiterated their belief that Trump’s resolute leadership would have deterred such attacks. They criticized Biden for allowing America’s reputation to deteriorate, leaving the nation vulnerable and mocked.

As the rally reached its peak, attendees chanted “Make America Great Again,” expressing their desire for a return to the strength and respect they perceived under Trump’s presidency.
