“I’m in a lot of pain, and I am just thankful that I am alive,” Katie told LA News Center. “The bouncer lifted up the rope after the first shot was fired, and then as I was running … I got hit.”

According to a police report, Mantock claims that he was dancing with a woman when security approached him and asked him to leave the club. Mantock alleges that security grabbed him by the neck, punched him in the face, and dragged him down the steps, where he was punched again.
In the heat of the moment, Mantock reportedly pulled out his gun and began shooting, saying he was “very upset about the security punching him in the face.”
