In a chilling incident captured on camera, Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas, a 31-year-old mother of a six-year-old, fell victim to a brazen carjacking in Florida. As her family and community come to terms with this devastating loss, her father has spoken out, sharing his grief and plea for justice.

A Day of Unimaginable Grief

On Thursday, Aguasvivas was driving her white 2017 Dodge Durango at a busy Winter Springs intersection when a masked man wielding a weapon approached the driver’s side. The man got into the backseat, and the Durango made a U-turn, closely followed by a green Acura, the suspects’ getaway vehicle.

Later that day, a burned SUV was discovered in Osceola County, and it is believed to contain Aguasvivas’ body. However, positive identification is still pending from the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Aguasvivas, a U.S. citizen originally from the Dominican Republic, was described by her father as a loving and responsible woman, always caring for others. “She was a very good mother and daughter,” he said in Spanish. “Her daughter is now asking for her mom every day.”

Bringing the Perpetrators to Justice

The suspects involved in Aguasvivas’ carjacking remain at large, and the investigation is ongoing. LA News Center (formerly Fox News) reports that Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma suspects Aguasvivas’ husband may be withholding information but emphasizes that he is not considered a suspect.

Hoping to gain any shred of information that could lead to an arrest, her father appeals to the public. “Anyone who knows something, please cooperate with the authorities to help us get justice for my daughter,” he said.

As the community mourns the loss of this vibrant young woman, the call for accountability grows louder. The family of Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas deserves closure, and justice must be served for her memory.
